Privacy Policy

Account and subscription information. If you create an account, sign in, activate a license, or start a subscription, we may process your name, email address, profile image if provided by a sign-in provider, session information, license status, Mac App Store subscription status, plan type, and subscription status. Direct-channel payment card details are handled by Polar, and Mac App Store purchase information is handled by Apple. Payment card details are not stored by ZarSage.

Mac App Store subscription proof. If you purchase or restore a Mac App Store subscription, the app sends Apple-signed StoreKit transaction proof to ZarSage so we can validate the subscription with Apple and attach active plan access to your account. We store purchase identifiers, product identifier, bundle identifier, App Store environment, subscription status, expiry and revocation dates where provided, and a hashed transaction reference where needed to prevent abuse and keep your account access active.

Farm records stored in the app. Depending on what you use, the desktop app may store field names, field boundaries, coordinates, acreage, crop projects, tasks, scouting observations, intervention records, soil samples, sampling points, weather and soil datasets, uploaded field resources, document indexes, chat history, drafts, preferences, and backup files. Field boundaries and coordinates may identify farm locations.

Information sent for online features. When you use online features, ZarSage may send the information needed for that feature. For example, AI requests can include your prompt, recent conversation context, selected field context, task details, weather or soil context, and relevant document excerpts. Weather, soil, satellite imagery, and map search requests can include coordinates, dates, search text, the satellite indices requested, and related request details.

Usage limits and diagnostics. We process usage counts for metered features such as AI, weather, soil, geocoding, fields, and documents. We may also receive app version, platform, license state, error reports, request path, response status, and similar diagnostic information. You can opt out of desktop telemetry in Settings.

ZarSage services process account, license, App Store entitlement, subscription, usage, field metadata, and document metadata so the app can validate access and enforce plan limits. Document content is stored locally unless you choose to send relevant excerpts through an AI request or backup your app data to Google Drive.

AI requests are sent to AI service providers to generate responses. Weather, soil, and geocoding requests are sent to the providers needed for those features. We do not sell your personal information or serve advertising.

Google Drive Backup and Google Tasks Sync are optional. They are disabled unless you choose to connect them.

If you use Google Drive Backup, ZarSage creates a backup ZIP of your local app data and uploads it to your Google Drive. If you use Google Tasks Sync, ZarSage creates or updates a "ZarSage AI" task list and tasks in your Google Tasks account.

You can disconnect these integrations in ZarSage Settings or revoke access from your Google Account.
